IFF-viewer + PCHG/SHAM + Color-Cycling, simple build-in file request,
PP-decrunch

Overview:

NLshow is a simple yet fast IFF viewer originally designed in the
mid-nineties for NORDLICHT EDV Service. I have now added support
for the PCHG (Palette Change) and SHAM (Super HAM) IFF chunks,
enabling it to display IFF pictures using a floating colour palette
via a user copper list, like to those pictures, generated by HAMLab
for the Amiga.

This small program is designed to run on classic, stock Amigas and
is not intended for Amigas featuring graphics cards. It is explicitly
made for classic Amigas with an OCS/ECS or AGA chipset. It has a simple
built-in file requester that is independent of any external library.

If you provide a folder name instead of a file name to the tool via the
command line or the built-in file requester, NLshow will display all the
files in that folder until you press ESC when a picture is displayed.
The tool does not support file patterns. Therefore, if you provide a
folder name, all IFF pictures will be shown.

PowerPacker compressed IFF-files will be automatically decompressed.

The program is entirely written in 68K assembly and was one of my early
projects 30 years ago when I was young. It was a pleasure to revisit my
old code. :-)

It will actually run under Kickstart 1.1 and Workbench 1.0 as long as
you do not compress the executable with a Cruncher.

You can start the program from CLI or WB. The tool can be used in a
project icon as a tool. Color cycling can be activated while viewing
with the TAB key. You can also activate colour cycling on the command
line by adding "/C" as an option, or as a TOOL TYPE in a PROJECT ICON
by using "CYCLE=ON".

Requirements:

- Any classic AMIGA with 68k CPU.
- 512 KB Chip
- OCS/ECS/AGA chipset, PAL/NTSC supported.
- Kickstart 1.1 or higher
