Short: Corrects colour problems on an 8+ colour WB Screen (WB3.0+) Author: aburnsy@ncl-coll.ac.uk (Anthony Burns) Uploader: aburnsy ncl-coll ac uk (Anthony Burns) Type: util/wb Version: 256Colour v1.0 Architecture: m68k-amigaos When a Workbench screen is run with a depth of more than 3 planes (8 colours), the extra 4 colours set up in the multi-colour palette preferences are set as the final 4 colours in the palette. This means to use 8 colour icons on a 256 colour Workbench screen requires the icons to be of depth 8, which wastes disk space and memory. 256Colour copies the last four colours in the palette to colour index 3-8, so 3 plane icons can be used.
