CharConv is a program that can convert plain text files between different
character sets. Currently built-in character sets are Amiga (Latin-1),
IBM PC (CodePage 437), SF7 (Swedish/Finnish 7-bit) and Macintosh and
you can also use the charsets in L:FileSystem_Trans/. CharConv can also
change the end-of-line sequence to CR, LF or CRLF.
Changes in 1.6:
- CharConv used to strip Tab ($09) characters from the texts it
converted. That has been fixed now...
- CharConv now uses ReadArgs() and requires Workbench/Kickstart 2.04.
The program is now only half as big. ;-)
If you want to, you can still get the old information text if you
first enter CharConv ?" and then enter "?" again.
- Included a few extra *.crossdos files by Klaus Alexander Seistrup.
CharConv is a free program released under the concept of FreeWare.
