Welcome to Release Candidate 1 of Timberwolf 4.0.1, based on the source code of
Firefox 4.0.1. Please read through all this file, it contains vital information about
this program.
The release fixes several bugs and introduces new ones (sometimes called
features).
Release history:
Fixed in RC1:
Lots of bugs, check the bugtracker for moar information.
One fundamental bug in the JavaScript implementation was fixed. Since the
browser itself is written in JavaScript, this will most likely fix a variety of
issues
Fixed in Beta 4:
Sound support (for example, ogg and webm videos)
Drag&drop support (for dragging bookmarks, customize etc)
Clipboard support (text only for now, image clipping isn't really compatible
to the way AmigaOS handles the clipboard)
NSPR threading code completely rewritten to cope with NSPR's different
notion of condition variables (in contrast to pthread model)
Numerous little bug fixes
IMPORTANT: Timberwolf needs the AmigaOS entropy collector for it's
internal GUID generation. Therefore, the device RANDOMµ must be
mounted when launching Timberwolf. See below.
Introduced new bug: First launch may not properly quit. If the splash
window remains on screen after quitting simply reboot and try again. This
will be fixed in the next release and replaced by another bug of your choice.
